At Hartco, we are committed to supporting our clients throughout the entire art investment lifecycle, including the eventual sale of their artwork. Our contracts include a first right of refusal on all artwork purchased through us. This ensures we have the opportunity to present you with the most competitive resale options before you consider external channels. In many cases, we can achieve stronger returns in a shorter timeframe.
We operate on a performance-based model and charge a 20% commission on the profit generated from the sale of artwork acquired through us. Our sourcing fee has already been incorporated at the time of purchase, is minimal, and does not affect the market value of the artwork. This structure ensures that our incentives are fully aligned with your financial success. We only profit when you do.
To help maximise your returns, we aim to manage resales confidentially and in-house. This helps to avoid unnecessary auction fees and enables a more strategic and controlled exit.
Art is typically considered a medium to long-term investment, with a recommended holding period of three to five years to realise its full potential value.
